Level 7

Level 7 continues to develop and review what was learned in Levels 0 - 6. Read duple time; fast march; gently sway; changing touch high and fast; low and slow; fast arpeggios in one stroke; trill and stop; acciaccatura and mordent; place and play fast changing patterns. Theoretically find relative minor scales: natural, harmonic, melodic; recognize chromatic, whole tone scales; diatonic scales by steps; pentachord and tetrachord by range; seven Greek modes: Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian and Locrian; review the seven letters of the music alphabet used many ways; quick way to name key signatures; enharmonic keys; melody in four voices; transpose a melody in half and whole steps; transpose scale and scale triads by: tonic, numeral, sol-fa, terms; Technically shake fast repeating octaves and long arpeggios; twist and stand hand vertically; many touches of leggiero; traditional Mozart scale in contrary and parallel motion; Mozart scale chromatic; Mozart scale in octaves and thirds; Mozart scale in octaves. The pieces played in Level 7 consist of traditional songs and arrangements of classic melodies from operas, symphonies, and master piano works; along with classic duets, and original advancing pedagogical pieces.
